30 YEARS OF HISTORY...

The founding of SII Deutschland GmbH as AIDA Development GmbH

The story of SII Deutschland begins in 1996. Driven by a lifelong fascination for aviation and a desire for new ideas, Frank-Heinrich Schoenenberg, together with his partner Peter Miehlke, founded AIDA Development GmbH (the original name of SII Deutschland GmbH). From the very beginning, Schoenenberg was a true pioneer, constantly seeking innovative solutions and new challenges. Over the years, he expanded the company’s services and areas of activity, thus laying the foundation for its future growth and success. This milestone marks the entrepreneurial start of a company that would go on to become an important player in the industry.

The founding of SII Technologies GmbH

In 1997, a small group of ten technology enthusiasts with a big vision founded Cadcon GbR, which would later become SII Technologies. What began as a traditional engineering office quickly developed into a center of rapid growth and innovation. We continuously expanded our services and rapidly established ourselves in mechanical engineering, energy and environment, as well as the automotive industry. This founding milestone not only marked our beginning but also laid the foundation for our ongoing commitment to technical excellence and our customers’ success.

SII Deutschland becomes a member of the SII Group.

In 2010, SII Deutschland became part of the French engineering group SII Group. This strategic step marked a turning point in the company’s history and opened access to a global network spanning 20 countries. The international presence created new opportunities, expanded expertise, and opened doors to previously untapped industries. With strengthened capabilities and cross-border collaboration, SII Deutschland was now well‑equipped for ambitious growth. The foundation for expansion was laid—and the path toward becoming a leading player in engineering and digital services had begun.

Rücker Aerospace GmbH is acquired by SII Deutschland

In 2014, SII Deutschland GmbH acquired 100% of Rücker Aerospace GmbH. Rücker Aerospace GmbH offered services for the aerospace industry and related sectors, as well as for the defense industry.

SII Technologies becomes a member of the SII Group

The integration of SII Technologies GmbH into the SII Group in 2015 marked the next major milestone in the company's history. As part of this global organization, the company gained access to an international network spanning more than 20 countries. This new affiliation also brought valuable additional expertise and an expanded service portfolio. As a result, the company was able to offer solutions in new industries such as banking, insurance, transportation, and aerospace, further strengthening its position as a versatile and globally connected engineering partner.

One identity – Combined strengths: SII Group Germany is born

The year 2020 marked a strategic decision for SII Technologies and SII Deutschland. We unified our business operations and brand identity and now operate as SII Group Germany. The aim of this decision was to maximize our combined strength and increase our market presence. By pooling resources and fostering synergies, we created a more coherent and efficient organization. This collaboration strengthens our global position, allows us to have a greater impact within the SII Group, and enables us to provide even more comprehensive support to our customers worldwide.

SII Germany GmbH – The shared path

In 2026, SII Technologies GmbH and SII Deutschland GmbH were successfully merged to form SII Germany GmbH. This milestone fully integrated structures, processes, and organizational units, enabling even more efficient collaboration across all business areas.

The merger created numerous benefits: administrative and support functions were consolidated, decision-making processes were streamlined, and synergies were leveraged more effectively. At the same time, the integrated organization strengthened cross-functional teamwork on shared customer projects and made it possible to utilize expertise and resources even more efficiently.

As part of this transformation, a clearer and more powerful corporate structure was established. As a subsidiary of SII Germany GmbH, SII Consulting Services GmbH now focuses exclusively on the employee leasing and temporary staffing business, complementing the broader service portfolio of the SII Group.

This integration marks the beginning of a new chapter—one built on stronger collaboration, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. With a unified organization, SII Germany is well positioned to drive innovation, support its customers with greater agility, and pursue its ambitious growth objectives for the years ahead.

The Governance of SII Group Germany

Dr. Wolfram Motz

Dr. Wolfram Motz is the CEO of SII Germany GmbH and SII Consulting Services GmbH. He has a proven track record of driving business growth across the engineering, management consulting, and software and information technology sectors.

Since 2020, he has played a key role in expanding the business of the former SII Technologies GmbH, successfully returning the company to a strong growth trajectory. Under his leadership, SII has significantly strengthened its reputation within the global SII Group and enhanced its position in the German market. In 2026, he was appointed Managing Director of SII Group Germany, taking overall responsibility for the organization’s strategic development and continued growth.

Through his extensive network within the automotive industry, Dr. Motz actively fosters strategic partnerships and further positions SII as a trusted technology partner to leading automotive companies. In addition, his involvement with the Förderkreis Deutsches Heer e.V. supports SII’s growing presence and strengthens its positioning within the defense sector.
