Today, more than 100 employees leverage their expertise in web technologies (PHP, Java, JavaScript, Drupal, and SharePoint) as developers, testers, product owners, and DevOps engineers in France and around the world.

From a web services center to WebiSIImo

This collaboration began with a call for tenders from La Poste Group, which was initially won in 2017. It was set up so that SII could manage the build and run of web applications developed and maintained at La Poste's Pageot and Atlantica premises in Nantes for the Central IT Department.

For five years, our employees have supported La Poste in projects such as the overhaul of the information system for planning driving tests and the maintenance of the information system for electric bike rentals in the Île-de-France region.

The SII teams, mainly from the SII Atlantique agency in Nantes, wanted to continue and respond to the new call for tenders launched in 2021 to renew this contract for a legal term of five years.

Thanks to its hard work and its attentiveness to the new challenges brought about by the 2020 health crisis in particular, SII won this consultation and signed the contract renewal for an additional five years: a great show of confidence and customer satisfaction.

La Poste Group particularly appreciated SII's ability to reinvent itself by adapting its organization, tools, and governance to meet the expectations of the i-Team entity, which led the consultation and competitive bidding process with the purchasing department. A new, customized, and agile system was born.

Why WebiSIImo ?

Today, the Service Center is called WebiSIImo: “We wanted customers and SII teams to fully embrace this name, which combines the core of our business (the Web), our name (SII) and our customer's ecosystem of commercial brands,” explains Vincent Aureart, Key Account Manager for La Poste Group at SII.

The name was chosen to highlight, once again, the partnership between the two companies, which currently involves more than 100 SII consultants in France and abroad: Nantes, Niort, Tours, Rennes, Caen, Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Belgium, and Morocco.

A wide range of profiles are involved and mobilized on WebiSIImo: developers, testers, product owners, DevOps engineers, and project managers—every possible role in a team responsible for developing and maintaining web applications.

Their skills revolve around web technologies for specific developments on PHP/Symfony, Java, Angular, React, and NodeJS stacks, as well as on Drupal and SharePoint CMS for more “standard” needs.

What next ?

The goal for the future is to exceed 120 consultants and experts working on the WebiSIImo system across all locations, with a particular focus on growth in Nantes and Morocco. SII will continue to meet the client's needs in terms of expertise, skills development, and a structured system managed and driven by SII.

“The next five years are going to be exciting: new projects entrusted to SII, opportunities linked to a new organization and commitments to be fulfilled, as well as the acceleration of synergies and solutions within the SII group,” explains Morgan LEROY, Business Sector Manager at SII Atlantique.

SII and La Poste Group

For more than 10 years, SII has been supporting La Poste Group throughout France and abroad in numerous projects with varying levels of commitment and services. From resource delegation to third-party application maintenance (TMA) management, fixed-price contracts, or agile commitments, the SII Group has also supported La Poste Group in training and reskilling programs through its subsidiary SII Learning.

To date, SII has managed more than 50 different projects within the IT Services Department, the Mail and Parcel Services Division, the Consumer and Digital Division, and La Banque Postale.
