MISSION

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Application Solution Architecture professional to support the design, evolution, and integration of business and technology solutions within a complex and evolving environment.

In this role, you will play a strategic part in defining technology directions, aligning solutions with business objectives, and producing the required architecture deliverables. You will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical teams to ensure solution consistency, scalability, and quality.

Responsibilities:

Identify and document the business capabilities required to address business needs.
Determine the applications and services involved in proposed solutions and assess impacts related to coexistence, dependencies, performance, and security.
Define technology orientations supporting the selected solutions.
Produce solution architecture deliverables, including non-functional requirements coverage.
Document and communicate solution designs using architecture models and diagrams, preferably with Archimate.
Support teams during detailed design and solution integration activities.
Develop transition, coexistence, conversion, and decommissioning strategies.
Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, governance, and architectural guidelines.
Contribute to modern architectures leveraging microservices, event-driven patterns, API-First design, and continuous integration.
Assess application components, services, APIs, modules, and dependencies from both functional and technical perspectives.
Influence solution design decisions through architecture best practices, patterns, and design considerations.
Promote software quality principles including testability, observability, performance, maintainability, and application security.
Define and enforce development best practices related to the Guidewire Cloud platform.
Mentor development teams and serve as a technical reference for Guidewire solutions.
Act as a subject matter expert for architecture and Guidewire-related topics.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Solution Architecture or a related role.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the Guidewire suite.
Significant experience delivering solution architecture within project environments.
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and Archimate notation.
Experience with system integration through APIs, Web Services, and event-driven architectures.
Understanding of deployment models across on-premises and cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CaaS).
Experience with microservices architecture.
Strong expertise with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
Knowledge of Guidewire APIs.
Knowledge of Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD) is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Gosu programming language and Guidewire PCF configuration.
One or more Guidewire certifications (Associate, Specialist, or ACE) are considered a strong asset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a matrix environment.
Ability to proactively identify and escalate critical issues.
