At SII Netherlands, we are supporting leading clients in the Aerospace, Space and Defense sectors. To support our growth in the Dutch market, we are looking for a Business Developer Engineering to develop new business opportunities and recruit top engineering talent.

YOUR MISSION

As a Business Developer, you will play a key role in the growth of SII Netherlands by combining business development, engineering recruitment, and consultant follow-up.

Business Development

You will be responsible for building and growing a portfolio of clients across the Dutch engineering market.

Your responsibilities include:

Identifying and developing new business opportunities;
Prospecting and meeting decision-makers within engineering organizations;
Building long-term partnerships with clients;
Understanding customer technical challenges and staffing needs;
Handling RFQs, tenders, and contract negotiations;
Ensuring profitability and sustainable growth of your business unit;
Working closely with SII international entities to deliver engineering expertise.

Aerospace, Space & Defense
Mechanical Engineering
Aerospace Manufacturing

Recruitment & Talent Development

You will be responsible for attracting, hiring, and supporting engineering consultants.

Your responsibilities include:

Defining recruitment strategies based on client needs;
Sourcing and interviewing engineering professionals;
Assessing technical and soft skills with support from experts;
Handling offers and contract negotiations;
Supporting consultant onboarding and integration;
Conducting regular follow-up meetings and career discussions;
Ensuring employee satisfaction and retention.

PROFILE

WHAT YOU BRING

Master's degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, or equivalent);
Initial experience in business development, recruitment, consulting, or engineering services;
Entrepreneurial mindset and strong commercial drive;
Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
Ability to build long-term client relationships;
Fluent in English, Dutch is considered a strong asset;
Strong organizational skills, resilience, and autonomy.
